About

My name is Timothy VanderKaay, and this is my story…

I was born in Mississippi where my dad was stationed as an Air Force chaplain. I’ve lived in three other states since then, finally winding up here in Texas. I was saved at the young age of 6, but it wasn’t until a series of events after I had turned 13 that I understood what it really meant to be a Christian. Since then, my relationship with the Lord has grown exponentially, and continues to do so. The lessons I’ve learned these past few years have been priceless, and I desire to share them with as many people as will listen.

In a culture that tries to make truth irrelevant, Christians are told that there is nothing special about the faith. Society says that persevering as a Christian is pointless, that Christianity is no more valid or better than any other view, and that we should keep switching our beliefs until we find “our truth.” But to those with an open, yet critical, mind, Christianity proves itself to be rational, true, and fulfilling on a level no other worldview can match, worthy of full belief and commitment. I have seen this very evident in my life. Through this blog, may you see as well.

I’m looking forward to this new chapter of blogging, and pray that you (the readers) and I grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ!
